How rights holders can request removal of a listing from GuardianTV Live, what a valid notice must contain, and how quickly we act.
Effective 4 August 2026
Guardian & Company Ltd (company no. 09198512, registered in England & Wales) respects intellectual property rights and responds promptly to valid infringement notices.
Our position
GuardianTV Live hosts no video content. The Service indexes publicly listed free-to-air stream addresses aggregated from open sources, and plays them in the visitor's browser from the third-party servers that publish them. We store no video files, no recordings and no copies of any broadcast.
Where a stream cannot be played directly by a browser, media may be relayed through our servers in transit. Nothing is written to persistent storage.
Because we control the index rather than the content, the effective remedy we can provide is removal of a listing from our catalogue. We action valid requests promptly.
Submitting a notice
Send notices to support@guardiantv.net with "DMCA Notice" in the subject line, or by post to the address below.
To be valid, a notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- The exact URL(s) on guardiantv.live you are asking us to remove — a specific /watch/ page, not a general complaint about the site.
- Your contact details: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
Incomplete notices may be delayed while we request the missing information.
What happens next
- Acknowledgement within 2 business days.
- Review of the specific URLs identified.
- Removal of valid listings, typically within 5 business days of a complete notice.
- Suppression, so the same source is excluded from future catalogue rebuilds rather than reappearing at the next refresh.
- Confirmation to you once complete.
Counter-notices
If a listing was removed in error, send a counter-notice to the same address including your signature, identification of the removed material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that removal was the result of mistake or misidentification, your contact details, and consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts.
Repeat infringers
Sources subject to repeated valid notices are permanently excluded from the catalogue and blocked from re-entry through the automated aggregation pipeline.
Please note
Sending a notice under penalty of perjury when you are not the rights holder or authorised agent carries legal consequences, and knowingly materially misrepresenting infringement may make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
If your complaint concerns a stream hosted elsewhere, note that removing our listing does not take the stream offline — it remains published by its original host. You may also wish to contact that host directly.
